PBO: Board of Directors
John Tregenza
Development/Nominating Committee
Board member since: 2006
Bio: Until recently, John's entire career has been spent in various areas of commercial and private banking. He began with the National Shawmut Bank of Boston (yes, an extinct name, revealing just HOW long ago that was!), then migrated to New York City in 1975 to enter into an extended liaison with French financial institutions: first with Credit Lyonnais, in New York and Miami, then with Banque Indosuez.
For the latter, John began in New York and then moved to Europe (Paris, Brussels and London) for ten years, as an expatriate and member of the international management staff. He returned to the United States and San Francisco in 1997, with successive stints at First Republic Bank and The Mechanics Bank, forging relationships in private banking and investment management.
John moved out of banking in 2006, and joined the independent private trust company and wealth management firm, Whittier Trust Company, San Francisco, as Director, advisory services and business development.
