PBO: Board of Directors
Bonnie Spindler
Gala Committee
Board member since: 2007
Bio: Bonnie Spindler came out of the advertising, antiques, and interior design worlds when she decided to help other people find homes. (She had been buying and renovating homes since 1983.) Since 1993, Ms. Spindler has seen the full range of real estate markets: from post-quake economic downturn with six-month-sale-cycles to the dot com explosion with eight-day-sale-cycles.
Ms. Spindler's passion is the superior design, decoration, and construction of pre-1926 architecture. She markets herself as the "Victorian Specialist." Ms. Spindler lives in an 1893 Victorian, originally built by Isadore Zellerbach. This experience allows her to give her clients first person knowledge of the joys and frustrations of owning a Victorian-era building.
Ms. Spindler's second great passion is helping clients into homes that they thought they couldn't afford to buy in San Francisco. This often means purchasing a Tenancy-In-Common. Ms. Spindler has helped hundreds of first time homebuyers get their start in the whirling San Francisco real estate market.
Ms. Spindler has been one of three top producing Zephyr Agents every year since joining Zephyr in 1999, and has been awarded a myriad of titles. In 2006, Ms. Spindler recorded the most residential sales ever in Zephyr's history.
Ms. Spindler is very active in city and community politics and organizations, including past service as President and Board of Directors' positions in the Alamo Square Neighborhood Association. Ms. Spindler attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and obtained two BA degrees in Psychology and Communications with two minors, Business and English Literature. She has Masters level education at the San Francisco Art Institute
