The Fog Typography Vote

Written by Teddy Wing | Posted on May 29, 2008 - 08:23 PM

Looking at The Fog website one day, I wondered, being the typography lover that I am: should I be using left-aligned type, or justified type, like in the columns on a newspaper?

I thought about it, and decided that since I designed The Fog for user-created content, why shouldn't you have a right to decide?

Submit your vote now by clicking on your preferred option below.

Send Your Minicourse Articles

Written by Teddy Wing | Posted on Mar 02, 2008 - 11:42 PM

Well, minicourse has just ended, and now you can submit articles about your minicourse experience to The Fog. Pictures may say a thousand words, but what better way to tell other students how you spent your week than using actual words?

Tell us what you did on one day, or on every day. Write about anything that was even remotely meaningful to you during the week. Whether or not you had fun on minicourse, tell us what happened and we’ll be sure to publish it here on The Fog.

Once you’ve finished writing your article, submit it along with your name and email address by clicking the Contact link on the left.

The Fog is Here!

Written by Teddy Wing | Posted on Nov 10, 2007 - 06:26 PM

So now I suppose it’s time I explained exactly what this is all about. In the simplest terms, The Fog is an online newspaper. But before you leave now that you know what it is, let me explain this to you in more detail.

The Fog is a vehicle through which people can express their opinions. Working in a journalistic environment, The Fog writers will have the opportunity to tell people about the various activities going on around school.

Producing content for The Fog will be a group of staff writers, as well as some non-staff members from the community interested in contributing. The Fog online newspaper will feature articles relating to the Marin Academy community, covering a wide array of subjects relating to the activities that interest you.

Over the summer, Teddy Wing designed and hand-coded this website in XHTML and CSS. To find out more about The Fog’s development process, go to www.teddywing.com/thefog/development.html.

If you are interested in contributing to The Fog, we encourage you to do so, as we believe that this paper will be a fun and exciting project to get involved in. Remember that The Fog depends on you to contribute your ideas and your talent to create a rich shared online experience. So, sign up now to become a writer for The Fog at www.teddywing.com/thefog/application.html, and let The Fog be your voice.
